Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the Union Army at New York, New York. He served as a Corporal and he was awarded the CMOH as a Private in Company B, 4th New York Cavalry for action on August 15, 1864 at Front Royal, Virginia. He was later a Prisoner of War.
