Metropolitan Police dog Jake, whose formal name is Hubble Keck, searched the wreckage of the suicide bombed double decker bus at Tavistock Square, London in aftermath of the 7/7 bombings. On the fateful day in July 2005, Jake was accompanied by PC Glen Hesketh (with his dog Chester) and PC Bob Crawford. PC Hesketh and Chester cleared the bus in Tavistock Square and cleared the suspect secondary device. Following the clearance of the secondary device, PC Hesketh went to support injured victims, whereas PC Crawford searched a nearby railway line with Jake. Jake was awarded the PDSA Gold Medal.  In the picture opposite Jake is pictured with PC Crawford.
